Political and non-profit fundraising management, consulting and training
Cheryl Bergman launched Bergman, Inc. in 2007. Her current and past clients include the Granholm Leadership Fund (GLF), The White House Project, the Michigan National Governorís Association Host Committee, and Denver Convention 2008.
Bergman Incís current and past clients also include Michiganís Children, Childrenís Trust Fund, Michigan Prospect, and federal, statewide and local political campaigns.
Prior to starting Bergman, Inc., Bergman most recently served as Deputy Campaign Manager for the Granholm for Governor Campaign overseeing fundraising, compliance and budgeting. The campaign raised a record amount for a statewide Democratic candidate in Michigan. She was also the Finance Director for the Governorís 2002 gubernatorial election.
Prior to working for Granholm for Governor Bergman was Deputy Finance Director for the Stabenow for U.S. Senate campaign. Her other campaign experience includes managing a State House campaign and working as a Voter Identification Manager for a congressional campaign. She also worked as a field director for the House Democratic Caucus and fund-raiser for the Senate Democratic Caucus.
Bergman also has non-profit management and fund development experience. She served as agency relations director for the St. Vincent and Sarah Fisher Center and as the program administrator for the Michigan Political Leadership Program at Michigan State University (MPLP). She now serves as an Advisory Board and Finance Committee member of MPLP.
Bergman received her BA in Journalism from Michigan State University.
